Private Label Manufacturing

Why Should You Consider Having Your Own Brand Of Allergy and Gluten Free Products?

Gluten free foods are not just a fad with the US market forecasted to grow 8% to 628.7 million by 2017.  Lactose free foods are expected to grow 2.9% to 1, 995.8 million by 2017.  (Source:  Euromonitor 2013).

Add in 5% of Americans with life-threatening food allergies plus the schools, households and businesses affected by that population, and the market becomes just too large for any savvy food business to ignore.

Let us help you be on the forefront of this growing market to develop your premium free-from private label category with simply the cleanest, best-tasting allergy and gluten free snack bars and oatmeal cups on the market.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Who do you accept as private label clients?
Current customers include American, Canadian, and International clients in distribution channels from retail to health care who service either corporate customers or consumers.  What these companies share in common is an understanding of the growing need for clean, allergy friendly and gluten free food and have the vision to invest in premium products.

What products can you private label for me?
We currently have space available on our bar line and our cup line.  In addition to the products you see on our website, we manufacture several products that you do not see in our own brands.  Some of the private label products we manufacture are:

  • Cups (microwave, hot or cold cups):
    • Oatmeal cups which may include other gluten free alternatives such as quinoa
    • Muffin cups
    • Granola cups
  • Bars (individually wrapped bulk or in POP boxes):
    • Granola bars
    • Oatmeal bars
    • Crispy rice bars
    • Added protein bars (up to 10 g protein per 42 g bar)
    • Fruit and seed bars

We do not have the equipment for enrobed bars nor oatmeal packets.  Bar size chosen must be 4” in length but may vary in width, height and weight.

Can you co-pack the recipes I’ve developed?
We do not consider ourselves a co-packer as we have developed and own all of our recipes which we can use to create custom flavor and/or nutrition profiles.  Any co-packing recipes must meet both our strict dedicated facility quality assurance procedures and our business goals so will be assessed on a case by case basis.  Before contacting us, it is a good idea to review our allergen declarations:

What are your volume requirements?
We appreciate that everybody needs a place to start with their own product line so we offer one of the lowest private label minimums in the business. Whether you choose bars or cups, our minimum per flavor is 6 000 units.  This is also the order increment that is required so you will order by 6,000, 12,000 etc.

What is my pricing and what does it include?
Pricing is completely dependent on the products, flavors and sizes you choose so you will be provided with costing only after determining your exact needs.  Pricing includes the ingredients (unless you choose custom ingredients which are addressed separately) and manufacturing of your private label product.

You will purchase your own branded packaging including but not limited to:  custom printed packaging, custom printed point of purchase boxes and/or corrugated cases. We will supply you with an estimate sheet on these additional costs based on the sizing of the product(s) you've chosen and walk you through every step of the way as needed with our supplier contacts including arranging the shipments of your packaging to our facility.

What are your Quality Assurance procedures?
The QA procedures at Libre Naturals are detailed in over 100 documents based on a HACCP program.  In summary:

  • Voluntarily registered with the CFIA and the FDA
  • HACCP based Quality Assurance program with Good Manufacturing Practices

What certifications do you have?
Our facility and products are certified Kosher pareve by Kosher Check (formerly BC Kosher) and gluten free by the Gluten Free Certification Organization (GFCO). You may choose to apply for a certification sublicense which is offered at a minimal yearly licensing fee from our certifying organizations.
